Screw size?

Hello,

Looking to replace latch with new Product Code: 82-269. Somebody used wood screws to hold the last latch in place and I am wondering if you could tell me what size screw is needed for the mortise as I saw that it doesn't come with replacement screws.

Thank you for reaching out to us. For an installation screw, at first, I thought of a self-tapping machine screw like the 33-096. However, this had some resistance going into the mounting hole. After that, I tried the 33-080 flat-head sheet metal screw which was easier at going in. Take a look at both screws to see what you think.
