Screws for casement locks

Question

I received my order for 25 casement locks part # 38-036 and screws 33-072. It seems I cannot tighten the lock to the window. The screws seem to long and leaves a gap and the lock is loose. Any suggestions??

Thanks for writing in your question. In the past, I have personally replaced the 38-036 casement lock with the 33-072 screw. Could it be that you need to use the 38-036S lock shim for your window? Look it over and get back to us.
