Seaming two closet tracks

Question

I have a closet opening of 10' 10" and I need to replace my track. What is the best way to place 2 pieces of your track (23-242) down without having the door catch at the seam?

If you need 10', you may want to consider our 23-241 instead. These tracks are 5', so that way you don't have to cut off any excess. You would then butt them together as carefully as possible. There's not really any trick to it.
