Searching for 220 USB

A quick learner says:
Hello,

I need two window balances to replace my old ones.
Here is the info I can provide:

Measurements are 23" in length metal end to metal end.
1/2 wide channel
Number stamped on the metal is 220 USB

I appreciate any help you can give me in identifying the correct replacement and am happy to order them from you.

Thank you,

Kevin

Thanks for reaching out to us, Kevin. I believe you can use our S380-23 channel balance as a replacement for your original balance. Because your stamped number of "220" does not correspond with any of our stamped options, the only way to determine the appropriate stamp options is to weigh your window sash and correspond that weight number to our sash weight range located on that respective product page.
A quick learner from POrt Saint Lucie ,Florida says:
Hi Paul,

I'm told by a window specialist here that the stamped number is 22D not 220.
He explained that D is the 4 th letter of the alphabet and means it's rated for 40 lbs.

I drove to their business and got the proper parts, because I wasn't sure I would get a reply here since it was a few days since I posted.

I appreciate that you took the time to reply, thank you sire.

That's absolutely right, we misread the 22D as a 220. All the info from your specialist sounds about right, except that the balance is probably rated closer to 20 pounds (19 to 23, if it's the same as what we offer); the 4th letter thing just means that it's the 4th spring size. We call that option "2240" in our own system.

Thanks for checking back in; we are glad you got your window fixed one way or another.
A quick learner from Florida says:
Ben,

Thanks for clarifying the spring letter. It's always nice when an industry pro can educate a consumer. I sincerely appreciate swisco taking time to inform me. Next time this occurs I will be better able to communicate exactly what is needed.
