Searching for 31862

Question

Hi,

For my casement windows, I'm looking for a Truth Hinge marked 31858 on one link and 31862 on the other. The plastic guide that slides into the rail is broken away (see pictures). In my installation, the guide rail is not part of the hinge but mounted to the frame. I would have to tear the frame apart to fit in the models with the hinge permanently attached to the rail. There is a cut away in the rail so the plastic guide can slide in on both top and bottom.

Thanks for posting, Scott. If I'm understanding your post correctly, it sounds like you just want the two arms shown in your photos? If so, I'm not sure if we can help. Casement window hinges are only sold as complete assemblies.

For example, I feel pretty confident that the 36-048 can work for you, but it would require replacing the entire hinge set on the top and bottom of the sash. I don't think you could slide the arms off the main track and use them individually.

I am sorry that we cannot offer a better replacement option. That's just how these hinges are designed to be replaced. I don't think it will be easy to work around that.
