May I please see a photo of the internal latch that this button interacts with, removed from the window? Take a look at the video below for instructions on removing the internal latch.

Thanks for your photos. After thorough research of your part, I've determine that we can't provide a replacement for the internal latch. However, there is a chance you would be able to replace the latch with a surface mounted latch. 

You will need to drill new holes for the installation so I can't make any guarantees that it will work but this method is worth considering. Take a look at the video below for instructions on how to convert the latches.
