It sounds like you need a new operator. We should be able to help, but too much of your operator assembly is obscured in these photos for me to make a recommendation. Would it be possible to see it removed from the window? Or, if that's not possible, can you show as much of it as you can manage?

Thanks for the update! This is a big help. Looking at your photos, I think replacing the sash bracket will fix your problem. I can't get a good look at the one you have now but I have a few ideas. Take a look at the 39-545 and the 39-546 to start. You just need to get the rusted stud out of the operator arm itself, since it broke off while still attached.
