Searching for K5 727 balance

Question

I have several anderson balasncers that need replacement. The stamped numbers are:

K5 7 27 circa 1969

measure 6 3/8 x 2 3/4 x 3/4 with no flat screw flange ( two screws pass through the housing in the middle of the unit.

Please suggest an equivalent right and left balancer. Also, will I need to chisel the window frame to install?

Hey Tim. While we always prefer to see pictures of the stamp codes, Andersen balances that include the number '727' can be replaced by our 24-737. If there is no tab on your old balance box, then yes, you would need to chisel space in the window jamb for the tab that our replacement has. This blog article here goes into more detail.
