Side mounted spring loaded rolled steel ribbon tensioners for an impact window Manufacturer unknown
Looks to be the sliding tensioner mech
Hello,
We offer the 15-192 pivot shoe used in CertainTeed windows, which uses the S170 and S171 coil springs, along with the parts listed under the related items section of the 15-192 product page. Please note that some customers have reported that they needed to shave the front of the shoe down to install it in their window jamb.
We also offer a conversion video shown below that works for both Certainteed and Simonton windows that use this type of assembly. Take a look and review the full process below and see which option you'd prefer for your repair.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the replacement parts that you ordered. The coil springs that you purchased are designed to work with the 15-157 drum, which stabilizes them in the window channel. As for your pivot bar, it looks like you have an old style made by Simonton, which is no longer available. The 26-336 is recommended as a replacement but keep in mind that you would need to shave down the collar for it to fit the 15-192 metal cam. You can also find our return policy here if you would like to send back the unneeded pivot bars and cover. You are welcome to give our customer service team a call at (888) 991-1929 if you have any other questions about the return process or to place a new order.
