Searching for Milgard 86OX sliding door key lock

Quick Learner
I am looking to replace the existing lock set on our Milgard 86OX sliding patio door. Current door only locks from the inside with a push handle. We wish to install a lockset that is keyed from the outside. I have attached two photos of existing lock. Door is 1.5" thick and existing hole centers on exterior screws shown is 4.125". Color is white. Hope you can help

Hello there. Based on the appearance, I believe you should be able to use our 82-081 Keyed Handle Set with this door. However, the hole spacing on this handle set is 4-15/16", so double-check your measurements in relation to the diagram below and see if you think this could work for you.

I checked the hole centers through the door and they are 4 15/16 inches. The existing Milgard lock has a double mortise lock and striker. Would I have to replace these also?

Not at all, I'm very confident that our 82-081 handle set will be fully compatible with your existing mortise. As long as it's in good condition then it can be reused.

I have a similar problem. This product that you show does not seem to be able to replace my existing door handle. A 4 15/16 which is keyless is almost impossible to find. Can you help?

I don't believe our 82-081 will work for you, either. I think a better option would be our 82-030, but this handle set has a 3-15/16" hole center spacing, not 4-15/16". Can you verify that dimension? I've never seen a handle set in your style with a hole spacing that far apart.
