Greetings. For many non-tilt windows with spiral balances, the sash actually can't be removed. These manufacturers basically made it difficult to replace any specific parts--the idea being you'd have to end up buying a whole new window. You'll have to remove the spiral balances to see if that makes it any easier to get at the sash guides. Getting the spiral balances out is a bit more involved with this kind of window, but by no means impossible. First, raise the sash up and, while someone is holding it up, hook the 75-005 charging tool to the bottom hole of the spiral and un-hook the balance from the sash clip. Do the same on the other side, the lower sash, and unscrew the balances at the top to remove them. You'll have to pull them out from the top. To reinstall the balances, reverse this process.

You'll then have to see if you can get at the Top Sash Guide. You still won't have a lot of room to do this or to unfasten it, and I can't even be certain this will allow you to get to them, but it's the only way to try. Apologies for any inconvenience.
