I am looking for a replacement handle with lock for a 6' Acorn insulated aluminum sliding glass door. The face plate is silver metal with a wood handle, the door was purchased in 1978 and is anodized alum. frame.

The only part I could think of, based off your description, is our 82-055K acorn handle set. Take a look and see if this is compatible with what you have. If not, please upload photos of the handle set in question, with measurements and we will continue to search for a replacement.

I have photos of the handle in a Mac book pro computer and know how to send them via email or text but do not know how to send them by uploading files as requested in your add photos red button. I tried copying and paste which is not working. Can I send them to you by an email address or another way?
The handle is a similar wood handle but the face plate and handle supports are silver metal not black. The door is 1 1/2"thick. Thanks

Thanks for the photos. This does in fact look like our 82-055K Acorn handle set. Take a look and see what you think. If you wish for the handle not to be keyed, then you can go with the 82-055. Look it over and let us know what you think.

Unfortunately, we do not offer any handle sets like the one you have photoed. The 82-055K is the closest match we have.

The handle 82-055K is similar but it has a black metal handle attachment and plate for the door frame, ours is shiny metal it may chrome plated. We have 8 other sliding doors with the same handle and would really like to match them if possible.
