Searching for casement operator 309031

A quick learner says:
Is casement operator 309031 right-handed or left-handed? Crank handle on the R or L side?

Bob from SWISCO responded:

That code has been associated with the 39-031, but I'd look at the 39-032 too as well. These operators are not designated as 'left' or 'right', since manufacturers have varying ways of defining just what that means in terms of operator installation. You'll need to compare your old operator to our offerings--see which side the arms extend from and which side of the spline the gears are on. That will tell you if you need the 39-031, or the 39-032. Just make sure the other dimensions we list match before going with either!
