This silver metal clasp goes on the outside of wooden window frames of our 1967 built home. It is held on by that flathead screw and allows the windows which have hand pulled inside openers that are attached to two sliding pieces that form a V to be opened and not fall down off the frame.
We have lost many of them over the years as they have fallen off when window air conditioners have been put in. I could use at least 10 if not 20 if you can find or make.

Ok. I will send a picture this week. We still have snow on the ground so will need to wait a day or two before taking a picture to show the way the windows work as this will need to be done from outside.

So the first picture, 141256, is taken inside the house to show how we open the windows. There is a crank we pull open and the windows go outward as shown in picture 140911. Picture 140924 shows the bar that is attached to the window frame and is held in place by the bracket I am trying to get more of. It closes against the frame when window closed and opens out when opened to stabilize the window. There are these bars and brackets on both sides of the window ledges. Thank you for getting back to us. My apologies for the confusion! I thought the clip you were looking for was for an operator. However, we don't sell a detach clip in the style. The only one we have that is similar is the 39-105 and I don't think it will work as well. You're welcome to look this part over to see what you think.

That would not work as the piece I need is flat as it must close completely tight behind the window frame. I will keep searching. Thank you
