Searching for window hard to shut after replacing chan

I replaced my channel balance on one of my windows with the S380-31 opt. 3030... The window opens easily but is hard to shut; Any ideas on what could be the problem.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble with your new balances. I want you to check on a few things if that's okay.

Double check that the new balance is the same length as your old one. Also check that the new balance has the same end attachments and stamp information as the original balance. Lastly, I would check that the your top sash guides are intact.
