Sears handle

Question

Hi Swisco
I have a sears best storm door # 944,65121271 , would your 40-130 handle kit fit my door. I don't need the keyed outer handle, the original handle has 1 3/4 " center to center and the door is 1 5/8 thick. (The handle part # 17656 ? ). Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated please advise.

I am familiar with that old Sears 17656 handle, yes. The 40-130 isn't an exact match but I've had customers tell me that it works perfectly well as an alternative. In a worst case scenario you may have to drill a new hole or two, but as long as you're handy it should be a simple installation.
