Security for outside track patio door

Question

My Pella sliding patio door has the moveable door on the outside track. I am trying to determine if what I ordered, 80-027, will work or if 80-006 would be a better fit. I am not sure if there is enough surface to attach the angle bracket on 80-006. When I spoke with customer service they suggested that I send some pictures. Please let me know if I should order one of these two products I am also fine ordering both and seeing which one might be a better fit.

I think either lock could work on your door, personally. When installing either of them, I suggest not going past the handle. What I mean is that you can be confident that the space where the handle is located should be a safe to install screws without worrying about hitting the glass. That said, you might want to talk to a locksmith or a contractor familiar with patio doors in your area to see which lock they suggest.
