Hello! Thanks for reaching out to us. Your handle looks very familiar at first glance, but I'm a little confused about how it latches. I don't think I've ever seen a latch mechanism quite like that before, unless I'm just missing something.

Would it be possible to see a photo of how this latches the door shut? Can you also show me the keeper/striker that it latches to to begin with?

A home owner from Fairport, NY 14450 says:
In the first photo you see a black metal piece which is attached to the wall side of the door and has a lip on the edge of it. In the second and third photo you see a flat metal hook on the right side of the wood handle. On the left side of the wood handle there is a lever. When you push down the lever the metal hook clips onto the lip. The plastic housing inside that holds the locking mechanism has broken so it is impossible to show you what it looks like when it's hooked/locked.

Ah, these new photos are a huge help. Thank you!

Based on what I see here, my recommendation is our 82-009A. It may look different at first but you'll note that it installs via that clamp, same as your original. The only thing you need to keep in mind here is the hole spacing: as long as yours is 4-15/16", then our set should install perfectly fine on your door and function without any alterations.
