Semco double-hung windows

Question

Hi. I have two Semco windows where the sash cord has definitely broken. See attached pictures. One of them doesn't stay open at all. The other will stay open, but the cord's definitely broken. Do you know what parts I need to fix this?

Hey there,

The black nylon piece in the window appears to be a knife lock shoe of some variation. I'm quite confident we can provide you with the replacement balances you need for the repair, but I'll need to see the entire assembly remove to ensure we are providing your with the correct replacement.

Please provide a clear photos of the shoe and the top of the balance. I'll also need to know the stamp from the channel.
