Series 170 Coil Balance Quote

Question

Coil balance is 3/4" wide and the sash weighs around 27 lbs. I found part S170-409 but I am not sure the weight limit. No stamp on balance.

The S170-409 is calibrated to hold 9 pounds per individual spring. That's too strong for your application.

For a 27 pound sash, I suggest using two 7 pound springs per side. That'd be our S170-407.
