Hi,
I have used your 30" Series 380 Channel Balance (S380-30 / 2930) for my 29" x 33" double pane sash, and they just barely hold my 23 lb. sash up. The window actually only stays up at about 80-90%, but I think that is better than going up to the next size (2940), which is what my Alcan windows initially had. They are all hard to close...
I did have to sand the Channel Balance Shoe (15-005) down to 7/8

Thanks for posting. 23 pounds is hard to judge, since it's right on the cusp between 2930 and 2940. I would get the exact weight just to be sure. If it leans over 23 pounds, go with 2940.

I also have 29" x 22.5" sash windows (15 lbs), and those came with 2930 B sized balance. What should I use for those? What does the 2930 B equate to?

If your sash is exactly 15 pounds, go with 2920, which can carry 12 through 16 pounds.
You can see a chart on the S380-30 store page that lists each option and how much weight they can support. You can use this as reference. Keep in mind that it's important that you get the exact weight for your sash, as these can be delicate systems.
