Series 380 Channel Balances Quote
I believe the window is a Gienow. I need 2 balancers for this window
Hello!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We're happy to look into this, but we will need to see photos of the top and bottom fittings, as well as the metal clip attached to the end of the pulley cord. That will help us determine the best replacement option.
Hey there, Emily isn't here today but I'd be happy to assist you moving forward.
This is not a Series 380 balance. What you have here is known as an extended-travel channel balance. We can supply this assembly as a custom order. Before we go any further though, I need a bit more information.
For full transparency, this exact model isn't made anymore. They stopped making it so we can no longer sell it. The good news is that there's a modern version that works in all the same applications, but the springs are calibrated slightly differently.
With that in mind, I'm going to need you to tell me the exact weight of the sash for this window. That's the glass panel. Any common bathroom scale will do, but we need that weight down to the ounce and as precise as you can manage.
Once I know that, we can calculate the new weight rating for the updated balance assembly and send you a quote.
Perfect, thanks! So the good news is that the new stamp option is more or less the same. This would be our 1820, which carries 8 through 12 pounds.
I'm going to go ahead and email you a purchase link and price quote right now for 2 balances made in this style. You can use that to add them to your cart.
These are unfortunately not in stock, so we have to have them made for you. Please expect a lead time of approximately 5-6 business weeks.
