Series 600 Spiral Balance Quote

Hello there. I believe we can help, but since this is a really long length for a spiral balance I want to be certain we know what you have. Can you show us photos of the tip of the spiral rod and anything it attaches to? Can you confirm there's no markings on the outer tube, or if there is, show us? From there I'll get a quote for (4) prepared assuming all looks good.

Thank you. These appear to be Hybrid style balances, not spiral. The design is similar but they are not compatible, unfortunately, so the Series 600 isn't going to work for this application. I'm glad we checked.

These will still have to be a custom order but I need more information from you to get started. First, these balances should have had a plastic tube around the internal spring, which is now exposed. Is there any of that tube left? Essentially, there would have been a stamp at the top end of the tube that is absolutely essential for identification. 

This is especially going to be important given that you have two balances per side. These balances aren't often used this way, so knowing precisely how the spring is calibrated is going to make this project a lot easier. Without that, we'll be forced to make an educated guess, and given the weight and size of the window that is not ideal.

To be safe, I think it would be best if you also give us the weight of the sash down to the ounce. These aren't calibrated with general weight ranges like spiral balances, each assembly is made to carry a precise weight. Estimations won't be sufficient moving forward.
