Thanks for reaching! This appears to be a shoe from a balance like our Series 775 Channel Balances. You would not be able to replace just the shoe alone, so you'll need to replace the entire channel balance. It would be a good idea to have both the balance and shoe removed so that you can confirm the right replacement.

To confirm which Series 775 Balance you'd need, start with confirming the length of your metal channel. Once you've confirmed the length, you'll need to look for a stamp on the balance so that you can select the correct stamp option. The stamp indicates the weight range that your balance can carry to support the weight of the sash.

Your shoe width will either be 1" or 1-1/4". You'll also need to consider this when selecting your stamp as well.

Thank you Jasmine, if not replacing, is there a way to get the shoe to release from the bottom position in the channel? As it doesn't have a pivot lock, I can't figure out how to get it to release.

Take a look at the attached guide to see if that might help in your installation process. Although, it is likely that the balance does need to be replaced.

Let me know if you have any questions.
