Georgia Pacific Pivot Shoe

A contractor from Michigan says:
Unable to locate the same size in your catalog. I didn't find any numbers on the parts but the windows were manufactured by Georgia Pacific and were installed in the early 90's.

We may be able to replace this pivot shoe. Can you tell me the width and thickness? Your tape measure shows the height, but that doesn't really matter. Width and thickness are the most important. Please be as precise as possible.

A contractor from Michigan says:
The width is 1 17/64 and the thickness is 17/32

Thank you! How about our 15-178? This is 1-1/4" wide and 17/32" thick, so I think it matches up pretty closely in terms of size. It also has the same style cam and top, so the pivot bar and balance will connect to it the same way as your old one. Let me know what you think!

A contractor from Michigan says:
I will give them a try. I had another inquiry concerning a pivot bar. They told me no go on them but I am wondering which one would work with those pivot shoes. I am pretty sure I can adapt them to the windows.
A home owner says:
Hello SWISCO-Team,
I'm not able to locate the same size in your catalog.
I didn't find any numbers on the parts but the window was installed in 1998.
Best regards
Günter

Hi Günter. Take a look at our 15-178. I believe your pivot shoe may be an older version of it, but go over the dimensions and let us know how they differ, if at all.

A home owner says:
Hi Bob,

on 23.06.2019 I had written to you again, but still received no answer.
Maybe you have not received my message.

Here are my questions again:

I have compared the pivot shoe recommended by you with the dimensions of my pivot shoe. As you can see in the photos, they diverge slightly.
My shoe: 2,513 "+ 1,251" + 0,514 "
Can I still install the shoe?
And is the right tool the following: Charging Tool for Tilt Windows (Product Code: 75-033)
How much is the shipping of 2 shoes and the tool to Germany?
First of all, I would order 2 shoes, and if that works, several more.
Thanks and best regards
Günter

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for your patience during this busy season, Günter. I still think the 15-178 is our closest match. Don't worry about the height of the pivot shoe, as this dimension isn't pretty important. What matters is the width and thickness. It looks like your shoe is 1-1/4" thick, and a hair over 17/32" wide. I think, based on experience, that the 15-178 will work fine. As far as charging tool for tilt window spiral balances go, see our 75-005 instead.

A home owner says:
Hello Bob,
thanks for your information.
You suggested me the tool 75-005.
That does not seem to be the right thing.
This is for non-tilt windows, but I have a tilt window.
So once again my question: Is Product Code: 75-033 the right tool?
Please take a look at the photos.
Kind regards
Günter

Apologies Günter! Careless mistake on my part. I meant to say our 75-006. This is the correct tool for tilt window spiral balances.
