Hi,
The metal insert at the shoe where the window pivot pin sits is broken. I did not find any markings on the piece. The tip on the balance was red in color.
The window in question is the upper sash of a tilt-in double hung window.
I appreciate any guidance.

Many thanks for writing in, Bill. The pivot shoe looks like our 15-188. For the Red Tip Spiral Balance, see the Series 600. Measure the length of the outer tube, up to but not included the colored tip, to determine the proper length. See the 75-006 for an attachment tool. Let us know if you have further questions.
