Shower help please

Hello folks

Ive got a one piece molded shower late '90s. Splash guard on bottom of door has no screws. Maybe entire metal strip is supposed to slide off for replacenent. But afraid to force - so corroded. So much lime and mineral deposit it won't budge without breaking glass or hinges. See photo. The rubber track does not appear designed to slide rubber spash guard out of a grouve to replace. That was my original plan. But so brittle just breaks. I can tell its not supposed to be slid in out groove.

Dang it, I hate old stuff n just bought this place. Otherwise shower in perfect condition. Suggestions please?

Well, depending on the thickness of the glass I think you could use one of our frameless shower door sweeps to replace this. You can see our entire selection here, specifically near the bottom of the page.

As for removing the old one, I can't really say. Like you said, you don't want to force it out of fear of damaging the glass. There's also no telling what the original installers used to keep it in place. I would check with a local hardware store to see if they have some trick they use in situations like this.
