Shower sweep with drip rail/ plastic coating

Question

Is there a plastic coating on the side that is to be screwed onto the shower door frame? And if so, should it be removed? Does it have an adhesive on the steel part once the plastic is removed?

Thanks for reaching out to us. Our shower door drip rails don't have either a plastic side coating nor an adhesive backing. These screw to the face of the shower door frame directly through the metal rail itself. Drilling holes in the new rail will almost certainly be necessary. You will need to line up the holes already in your door and drill accordingly.
