Silver Line Window Counter balance
Thanks for posting! To begin, is this a tilt window or a non-tilt window. Given the description of the issue with the window, I assume that it is non-tilt but I could be incorrect.
If it is a non-tilt window, since the balance is exposed when the window is closed, it is likely you'll need to replace the channel balance as well as the top sash guide. This is the plastic piece that is installed to the top corner of the sash and helps to guide the balance in the window channel. I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged top sash guide to recommend a proper replacement.
To recommend the right replacement channel balance, I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged balance removed from the window. I am specifically looking to see any attachments on the top and bottom of the balance as well as the stamp on the metal channel.
Unfortunately, we would not be able to assist with providing a replacement screen for your window. We do not carry the screen framing and we do not manufacture them. I do apologize that we cannot assist with replacing the screen.
On other windows in house it looks like the balance is held on by a cord that attaches to the top of the window. The 3rd picture shows that. (Unless thr last picture I took is first)
Thanks for confirming the window type. I'll need need to see a photo of an undamaged balance removed from the window. There a several different balances that connect to the top of the window in the way yours does.
I'll need to see the attachment that should still either be in the window channel or connected to the bottom of the window in order to recommend the most accurate replacement. Your balance is no longer attached to the balance attached on the bottom of the window.
I will also still need to know the stamp from the metal channel as this will help to determine the weight range your balances should be able to carry, once we've identified the series.
