Hi, Recently my door would not lock. After a lot of work, I was able to remove the mortise lock from the door. The mechanism has no markings on it. The distance from top to bottom screw holes is 3 and 11/16". It is just under 1/2" wide. The adhesive label on the door states:
Silver Line 8002344228, product ID 5502-X, size 71 5/8 x 79 3/4.
I bought a replacement part from Prime Line that would not fit the opening that the original mortise lock fit into. I understand Anderson sold Silver Line so I'm turning to you in the hope that you have a mortise lock that would fit. If you do not sell something that will work, do you have any suggestions as to where I could get a replacement part? Thank you!

Hello there. This looks just like our 82-218. Please compare to confirm. Note that this mortise lock is meant to be a snug fit in the door, so it can seem too tight upon installing. It has to be inserted at an angle. See the video below for details.

I have this exact same product ID and silver line number door. I'd like to install a locking handle. Which handles would be suggested?

That sticker unfortunately doesn't tell me anything about what hardware is used on the door. I'm confident that we can help you, but I need to see the original handles themselves in order to make a reference.
