Silver line Spiral Balance Hardware

Question

House was built in 1998 with silver line single hung windows. Have several broken spiral balances and pivot shoes.  so how do I know which spiral balances and pivot shoes I need .

Thanks for posting. To determine the correct spiral balances, I'll also need to know the length and diameter of the balance. The spiral balances you need should be either our Series 900 which has a 3/8" diameter or our Series 600 which has a 5/8" diameter (may also measure 9/16").

The tip color of the balance will indicate the weight range your spiral balances should be able to support. There is a chance your tip color may not match our or you may not have one at all. If either of these instances is the case, you will need to obtain the exact weight of your window. Once you've confirmed the series and length, you'll be able to use the chart below the product description to confirm the tip color for your weight range. It may be a good idea to do so to ensure you are getting the most accurate replacement.

In regard to your shoes, I'll need to know the thickness and the width of the shoe. It would also be a good idea to see a photo of the shoe removed but the measurements are the most important.
