Similar to Swisco part 38-090 except hole spacing

Hello Swisco Staff,

First, thanks for building a website that is easy to navigate by this first-timer. I have a broken sash lock on my casement window. The lock is similar to your part number 38-139 (which included your short, cool and clear video, yippee!) The key difference is that the spacing between screw hole centers for my broken sash lock is 3-1/8 inches, (three and one-eighth inches).

Please suggest a replacement part. If you cannot find one with my hole spacing, then I may need to reduce (or enlarge) the slot hole. Can that be done easily in vinyl? All comments welcome.

Hello, Steve! Glad to hear you're happy with our site. Unfortunately, it sounds like you have an old discontinued casement lock, based on your 3-1/8" hole center spacing. These where used by SilverLine a few years back and are no longer available. I'm not sure if you can retro fit the newer style into your window, or that it will work at all with your locking mechanism in the window. I am sorry we cannot give a better suggestion!
