Simonton Double Hung Pivot Bars - Replacement

Question

Hello. I need 20 replacement pivot bars for Simonton double hung sashes. The bars that are broken have a 90 degree elbow that ends in a semi circle. The replacement pieces that Simonton sent to me are completely flat so would leave a hole in the side of the sash when inserted, and I suspect may not be as strong of stability. Do you have the original part and/or are you able to find a more appropriate replacement?

I'm sorry to say that we don't have this exact part. It's weird that not even Simonton had it, though. I suppose they changed the design and discontinued this older version.

The only pivot bar we have in our inventory that has that vertical post would be our 26-336. However, the front tip is obviously a different style and there's a good chance it won't work for you without grinding it down to shape.

That said, I don't know if there would be any issues using the flat version you mentioned. The holes would be covered when the sash is installed and you wouldn't ever see them. They honestly might be your best bet.
