Vinyl door handle came loose and cannot screw back on need to find out which door handle to buy to replace

Hello! This handle set looks similar in design to our 82-030A. I think this may be what you want, but look it over and see if you agree.

The length of my handle is 7.5 inches and the width is 1 inch - so this model appears to be a tiny bit longer and also thinner - do you think it will still work?

Sure, I think that'll be okay. Overall length and width isn't all that important in terms of function. In a worst case scenario the outline of the old handle may be visible on the sides, since ours is skinnier, but it will still work as long as the hole spacing is the same.

Ok sorry I have another question -do I need to install the door handle with the key - I have never used the key so I'm wondering if I can install the model that doesn't use the key. Here's a picture of the mortise

If you don't have any interest in having an exterior key lock, then you can use our 82-030 handle set without issue. This is identical to the 82-030A that I recommended above but without a key. It's entirely up to you.
