Simonton Window Series 5500

Question

Hi - Installed new windows about 11 years ago and some of the window balances are starting to snap. Can you identify what the part number and where/how to order replacements? Do I need to the whole spring or just this plastic piece that broke? Thanks in advance.

Hello! It looks like just your pivot shoe broke, so you can probably reuse your old springs. I recommend our 15-192. This should match the hardware you have now.

If you did want to replace the springs, then see our Series 170. You'll need the stamp off the old spring to confirm the best option.
