Simonton Windows

Handy Person from Pulaski, PA
I have Simonton windows throughout my home.
One of my windows will allow the handle to turn to open the window, but upon closing the handle is being forced off the mounting.
The inner threaded bolt is exposed.
I removed the handle by loosening the set screw. The threaded bolt inside that handle mounting is free moving and can be removed.
Can I replace this threaded bolt?

Hello,

It sounds like you may be referring to the spline that attaches the handle to a casement window operator. If the spline has come out of the base, unfortunately, that means that the entire assembly would need to be replaced. We would need to see your operator with the window open so that the arms that move the sash are fully visible to compare to our inventory. Thank you!
