Simonton Windows

A home owner from Pottstown, PA says:
Greetings,

This glass door was apparently installed back in 1995 and as you can see the part where the lock latches to the wall has fallen/broken off. The mechanism does work but it is not in the best shape either so I am considering replacing the door lock as well. I called simonton and they do not sell parts individually and they suggested Swisco. I was told that the doors have specific part that only fits with specific locks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Yoon

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hey, Yoon, thanks for posting. Your mortise lock resembles our 82-226. The problem is, this is compatible with a bunch of different keepers. It's tough to say what you need based on your photo, but I'm leaning towards our 89-021. Look it over and tell me if this seems familiar.

Hi Tom thank you for the reply.

The problem is that the door was in that condition when I purchased it. I really have no idea what it looked like when it was in working order. However, it looks like your suggestion is the best bet I have and I am willing to gamble to see if it works.

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Ah, I see. Well I would start by comparing the measurements we show for the 89-021 to the space available in your door. That will give you a notion as to whether it will work.
