Simonton crank cover missing

Question

I have 2 simonton awning windows that are missing the crank cover. I tried buying a generic from Amazon and it fit but id did no latch. Also, the crank arm that came with cover did not fit the window mecanism. Can you help me understand if you have any that fits here or tell me where I can get Simonton parts?

Thanks for posting. On some older operators, the cover is not meant to be replaced, which unfortunately means if it comes off you may have to replace the entire mechanism. There's only one way to know for sure though. Can you show me the entire operator assembly, including the link arm(s) that push and pull the window sash? A bird's eye view with the window open should suffice. From there we'll do our best to identify exactly what might work for you.
