Simonton window parts

Home Owner from Rochester, NY
I have many sashes with these broken pivot shoes that fall apart when I tilt the windows in for cleaning. They come apart and slide down the tracks.

This appears to be our 15-192 Pivot Shoe. Note that the Simonton version of this shoe has a slightly different metal cam design. We recommend swapping out the new cam with the one from your old shoe to ensure window compatibility.

I too need a simonton pivot shoe like this one...how would you swap the cam? As the simonton one doesn't just close in and out..it has a small lip on both ends?

Well, these cams technically weren't made to be removed, so you have to keep that in mind. What I mean by that is that it won't seem easy at first. But if you kinda stretch the plastic housing you should be able to pop the cam out. Just make sure not to stretch it too much, you obviously don't want to break the shoe, but it shouldn't take a lot of effort.
