In need a window coil balance for a double hung window series 43-17dh. Do I need to replace both sides of window. Also do I need to replace the pivot bars

I'm afraid I don't know what kind of balance you may need. I have no reference to that series code in any of my records.

In order to continue, we need a clear photo of the original assembly in its entirety and fully removed. That includes the pivot shoe, spring, and cover.

We do recommend replacing both sides, yes, though as for pivot bars they can be reused as long as they're undamaged.
