Single-Hung Window Won't Stay Open

Question

I have a single-hung window that no longer stays open - it won&rsquo;t hold its position when lifted. Could you please help me identify which part I need to fix this issue?

Thanks for reaching out to us! The window will not stay up any longer because the coil assembly is damaged. I'm happy to recommend a replacement so that you can repair it but I'll need to see a photo of the hardware removed from the window.

If you can get a stamp/marking from the coil, I'll need to know what that is; if not, I'll need to now the exact weight of the window sash, down to the ounce.
