Single hung Window balance "catch"

Question

I am replacing two window balances. I have them and installed them, but noticed one of them wont "catch." I looked to see why, the left side is missing this clip on the top corner of the window. Its a little black plastic peice that screws into the top corners of the windows, and the balance catches on it.

Hello! This par tis called a top sash guide. Yours in particular looks like a dead ringer for our 18-161. Look over its dimensions to verify and let me know if you had any questions.
