Window will not stay up. From the 1990s. It looks like your part will help but looks different. Do you have any advice?

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. The coil balance clip shown here looks like the 15-186. This is used with the Series 190 coil springs and 15-180 pivot shoe. Can you remove the window sash so we can get a better look at the old shoe? We also recommend checking the coil tongue for a stamped weight code.

Please see updated pictures. I could not find coil stamp weight. If that is critical I can try and unwind.

Thank you for your assistance.

If there aren't any stamps, you'll have to weigh the window sash on a scale and divide the weight by the total number of springs in the window. The video below will go over this in detail.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Great! Please see the S190-740 7-pound coil spring, which is sold separately.

Thank you. Can I purchase the units also? One side is starting to break where the window sash fits in to turn to unlock the movement
