Dear Sir: I need to replace two LINFORD Windows 28 in single hung side balances... I only have one number to give you 2640/BSI. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob, thanks for the photo of your balance. It appears you have either a Series 380 or Series 835 channel balance. You'll need to measure the depth of the bottom shoe to determine which one you'll need. As you can see in the image below, the shoes' depth only varies by a 3/32". I would also double check the length of just the metal channel, as it's typically a digit higher than the stamp on the balance (2640).

Hi Kathleen, I am sending you two photos. First, it looks like 1 3/32 as per the photo.
The metal bar is 27? long. Last the shoe I have looks a little different. It doesn?t quite have the pointed tips your photos have( The second photo shows what I have.

S385-27, it is! The minor difference in shape won't make a difference in the function of the balance. You can order the part through our site.
