Single hung tilt window all plastic parts.

Question

There's a plastic gray rod goes in black plastic bottom piece where window goes in . Runs on spring and attached with skinny rope with screw at top. No adjustment screws. Top of spring is a white plastic part the holds spring and rope. Window doesn't stay open. Was in house when purchased in 2005.

It's tough to be sure with the balance still installed, but it looks like you may have old-style crossbow balances, which are no longer available. If so, see our conversion video below, which should work as long as the shoe matches and the balance spring measures 1/2" in diameter. Thank you!
