Hi Jim. I'm afraid I need more information to be able to help. What do you mean by 'jamb slide rod'? Do you by any chance mean a window balance, or the spring-loaded mechanism on either side of the window? If so, we don't know exactly what kind of balance you need, so we'll need to see pictures of your current hardware out of the window.
