Single hung vinyl window removal

A quick learner from Duval WA says:

Original install 1994.
Window latch shows "Haras inc". Difficult to use. Has spiral balance. Released tilt latches at top, tilted in but unable to release from shoe. Want to remove to clean and check balance parts.

Once the sash is raised a few inches and tilted in, you'll need to twist it in order to remove it from the frame. See the video below, that will show you exactly how we do it.
