Single wheel patio door roller

A home owner from Walton Hills Ohio says:

Hello,

My home was built in 1962.

Aluminum frame single wheel rollers on my patio door.

I hope the pics are good enough for you to help me order two new rollers.

Also, how do I remove the old rollers.

I have the bottom frame piece off of the door.

Thank you in advance.

Hello, David! It's a little hard to make out what you have while it's installed, but I think this may very well be a match for our 81-126. The back end is just about identical to what you show here. Look this over and see what you think.

For old aluminum doors like this, the way to remove the rollers is to first knock off the bottom rail of the door frame. Once the screws are out, you would use a mallet and block of wood to gently tap off and remove the rail. Just be very, very careful. You want to use gentle (but firm) taps. The last thing you want to do is accidentally hit the glass.
