A handy person from Payson Arizona says:
Hello, I have just purchased 6 Millard awning windows to replace some old ones. There are high clerestory windows so this seems like a good solution to be able to open them using a long pole. I have 2 questions: the windows are 24? tall by 48? wide. Will this work for that? Second, do they stay close by tension ?kind of like a cam? or does the mechanism snap into replace in a way that requires a button to release? I would not be able to operate a manual release from 8? under the window.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if your window will work the way you need it to, especially with an operator like the 39-070. This looks like a commercial type window and is likely way too heavy to be used as high as you need it to be. One thought would be to use handles like the 38-175 and the 38-176; matching them up with a Pole hook like the 38-116 and 38-117 could work for you. But even then, I'm not sure if this hardware will work for your window, either. You will also still have a problem pushing it open. It's just not the right window for the job.

You might want to check with a Glass shop in your area to see what they suggest.
