Sizing spiral balances in tilt windows

Can I tell what size spiral balance I will need by the size of the window? For example, a 60 inch tilt out window will need watch size top and bottom spiral balance.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm afraid not. The best and safest way to determine the length is to remove the sash and measure the balance tube and sash height. You would then count how many sashes have the same height for that size balance.
